It is great to get the children involved with their space and setting them projects which can be accomplished in the outdoor classroom space is a great way to get them to engage with their environment. This could be as simple as setting up a rota allowing the children to take turns at filling up a bird feeder for the visiting birds, but it will help them to be more aware of their space and environment than they were before.
You could even set up a vegetable patch, or grow some fruit trees. This would teach the children responsibility and educate them about food – something which is very important at present.
